Highest level in SAP, representing the entire enterprise.

Controlling Area

Used for internal cost accounting; can cover multiple company codes.

Company Code

Legal accounting entity for financial reporting.

Maintenance Plant

Physical location where technical objects (equipment, functional locations) are installed.

Planning Plant

Responsible for planning and scheduling maintenance tasks.

Location

Defines physical/geographical placement of equipment.

Plant Section

Subdivision of a plant for maintenance responsibility.

Work Center

Group of people/machines performing maintenance tasks.
